AI Enablement & Systems Engineering · North Canton, OH
The work AI should be doing is costing you a salary.
Every month your team spends hours on work an AI system should handle, it costs you — in wages, in the hire you didn't need, and in the leverage your competitors are quietly building. I find where it's leaking, put a real number on it, then build the systems and teach your people to own them.
The cost of doing nothing
Doing it the old way isn't free — it's an invoice you never see.
Most owners feel the drag but never price it. Here's the kind of cost that's usually hiding in plain sight on a small or mid-sized team:
of a skilled person's week spent on repetitive work a system should handle
a year — what that one person's automatable work costs you in loaded salary
what those hours add up to across a team, to do work AI could do
the leverage gap compounds while competitors close theirs
Those are typical figures, not yours. In the first conversation — free — I put your real numbers on the table: where the time goes, what it costs, and what closing the gap is worth. You keep that whether or not we work together.
What I do
Two jobs in one role.
If I were on your payroll, I'd be your Director of AI Enablement and your AI Systems Engineer. I do both.
The builder
AI Systems Engineer
I design and build the internal tools and automated workflows your business actually needs — fit to how you run, not a template.
The teacher
Director of AI Enablement
I teach your people to amplify their own expertise, run those systems, and build new ones as needs arise — so the capability stays in-house and grows without me.
What every person learns
The principle is simple: I teach you to fish. I don't hand you a fish.
The method
From what's in your head to what your whole company can use.
Most of what makes your business good was never written down. It's the judgment in your head, the decision buried in an email chain, the spec living in a DM thread. AI can't help with what it can't see — so that's where we start.

This is the difference between “sprinkling AI on it” and actually using AI to make your people smarter and your business more scalable.
The promise
Everyone who learns this.
The goal was never to replace your people with AI — it's to unlock skills they didn't have access to before, and put them to work in your business. Your team gets more done in the same hours, handles work that used to need another hire, and produces output that carries your standards every time.
And it compounds: a leadership team operating at 3× changes what the whole company can take on.
How it works
Three steps. All on your real work.

My approach
No fluff.
No shortcuts.
Real capability.
I don't sell “sprinkle AI on it.” I don't do canned prompt libraries you'll never open, YouTube-demo theater, or “hello world” courses that never touch your real work. And I don't build AI that thinks for you — I build systems and skills that make you and your team think better.
Everything I deliver is real, owned by you, and built to last.

Prototype · under NDA
Mobile app prototype for a venture-backed startup
Built the complete working prototype solo in two weeks; the founder's in-house team had estimated six to nine months. Brought on with equity for the build and for training the founder to work alongside AI.

Pricing
Simple, transparent.
Built on a $250 / hour rate.
If the gap is costing you a hire a year, the question isn't whether to close it — it's how fast it pays back. When a system removes a role's worth of busywork, the build typically pays for itself in months, not years. The discovery roadmap shows you the payback math for your case before you commit.

Flexible on form, not on value — I'm open to structuring engagements as a blend of cash and value that fits your business.

About
An AI systems builder who teaches the capability to stay.
TrustCore Systems is the consulting practice of Dave Dobbins — an AI systems builder and enablement specialist based in North Canton, Ohio, working with clients on-site and remotely.
For three years I've built with AI full-time — shipping autonomous agent systems, internal tools, websites, and training programs. I started TrustCore Systems for one reason: most businesses have access to the same AI everyone else does, and almost none of them are getting real leverage from it.
The leverage doesn't come from sprinkling AI on top — it comes from capturing what your people already know and using AI to scale it. I close that gap by building the systems and teaching the people, so the capability is yours to keep.
